Walhill Farm and the Rural Alliance for the Arts are teaming up to present the Bacon, Blues & Brew Music and Arts Festival Aug. 26-28 at the farm, 857 Six Pine Ranch Road, Batesville.

Families will enjoy outdoor art activities that Saturday: Matisse-A-Pizza, a painted paper cut-outs workshop with Patrick Lee Durkin; Kids Discovery Factory fun ranging from giant bubbles and Ice Excavation (Legos in ice) to a take-apart station and balloon drop; and Japanese gyotaku fish painting with Carroll Swayze.

Free fine arts displays – sculptures, prints, glass, jewelry, paintings and ceramics – are slated for Friday from 4 p.m.-closing; Saturday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Outside food stations will be offering house favorites priced from $4-$8, and there also will be beer stands.

Nine bands will entertain over the three days, most concerts with free admission.

• Friday, Aug. 26, free on outdoor stage: 6:30-7:45 p.m., My Old Man’s Band; 8:15-10 p.m., Automation

• Saturday, Aug. 27, free on outdoor stage: 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Carson Diersing; 1:30-3 p.m., Andrew Hibbard; 3:30-5 p.m., Blue Moon with Allie Summers; 5:30-7 p.m., Parker Millsap; indoor stage, tickets $25 in advance, $30 day of show: The Defibulators, 7:30-9 p.m.; Ben Miller Band (2013 touring band with ZZ Top), 9:30-11 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 28: brunch inside at The Restaurant at Walhill Farm from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: open mic, 10:30 a.m.-noon; Michael Kelsey, 12:30-2 p.m.

Food vendors also will be available outdoors that day.
